My broad experience in the world of Art and Design means that I can turn my hand to almost anything. I have the skills required to deliver high standards with diverse media, from digital design to small hand lettering or large scale murals.

In practice it means that I am happy to meet a wide variety of challenges and projects with the same confident and positive approach.

I enjoy working with people and helping them to realise their vision, but I am also very creative and produce unique work with an original flavour.

I always use the best materials that the budget will allow, and consult with my clients about their priorities on every job. Communication is vital, and I strive for a good understanding so that we can both be happy with the end result.

Outside of my work, I find ways to keep busy -

Since 2014 I have attended Letterhead meets, which are events where traditional signwriters get together and share skills, paint stuff and have a good time. We usually raise money for charity by selling what we paint at the event, and I have friends in the industry from all around the world. I’ve traveled to France, Finland and Quebec to further my knowledge and experience, as well as all over the UK.

In recent years I have become part of a group based in the U.S.A called The Walldogs. We are about 150 sign artists who once or twice a year descend on a small town and paint around 15 murals in 4 days. This is done ‘for the love of it’ and we become part of the community through the process. Sometimes I have worked on murals designed by other artists, and sometimes I am the designer and team leader.

I have traveled extensively across the country working as a volunteer with friends on murals in New Hampshire, Oregon and Illinois. The murals below are ones that I designed and was lead artist. They are located in Beaver Dam - Wisconsin, Mount Barker in Western Australia, and High Springs - Florida (joint designer) Most recently in August 2023, I led a team painting a mural which was dedicated to the birth place of Tattoo legend Lyle Tuttle, which you can find if you take a drive to a lovely little place called Millerton, Iowa.
